A Happy New Year & Hiker Online International

Dear Friends,

First of all, I would like to wish all the visitors and followers of my blog a Happy New Year! Thank you guys for visiting and following me on the world wide web.

I hope and pray that this place has been a blessing for you and that it will continue to be in 2020. Personally I always find it exciting to look forward when a new year lies ahead of us.

Walk for Jesus – Jerusalem Pilgrimage

I wonder and think about what kind of things the Lord has in store for all those who fear Him. As you know this year I hope to continue my Jerusalem Pilgrimage and am looking forward to what this exciting journey will bring the people I will meet abroad.

Hiker Online The Netherlands

One of our plans with our Hiking and Outdoors club ‘Hiker Online‘ is that we would like to start a ‘Hiker Online’ group for woman here in The Netherlands. Our men’s group seems to be a success and a blessing. So we thought: “Why not a woman’s group?”. And it looks promising already. We have had some interesting feedback from woman who love the Lord Jesus and have a passion for Hiking and Outdoors.

Hiker Online International

But in 2020 we are also looking across our borders. We are looking for Christians worldwide (men and woman) who would like to start a ‘Hiker Online’ initiative in their own country.

The idea is very basic and actually quite simple: use our logo, create your own website and organise a couple of ‘Hiking and Outdoor’ events (multi-day or dayhikes) in one year with a soulmate(!). Invite all your Hiking & Outdoor peers to join you. Everyone is welcome.

All the best for now and God bless.

Walter

Walk for Jesus – Jerusalem Pilgrimage: Ep. 11

Dear Friends,

On this episode of my pilgrimage one of my friends decided to join me on my trip. We started walking from the fortified city of Langres and finished our journey in Besançon.

We took the train in Besançon and travelled back to Langres. We picked up our car and then drove back to The Netherlands.

Enjoy the route and the pictures we made of this trip.

Walk for Jesus – Jerusalem Pilgrimage: Ep. 10

Dear Friends,

On this episode of my pilgrimage I was blessed to have my wife at my side. We left home on sundaynight the 16th and arrived in Bar-sur-Aube the next morning. After parking the car at the trainstation and some coffee in the centre of the town we started walking to our first stop in Baroville.

From the eight days we were on the trail we rested two. When we arrived in our destination, the fortified city of Langres, we took two days of rest to walk the city walls and explore the city.

Last thursday we travelled back to Bar-sur-Aube by train. We picked up the car and then drove back to The Netherlands. Despite some traffic jams in Belgium we came home the same evening.

Enjoy the route and the pictures we made of this trip.

Shalom!

Walk for Jesus – Jerusalem Pilgrimage: Ep. 9

Dear Friends,

Last monday morning I got up early and drove to France. I parked my car at a free parking lot in Châlons-en-Champagne. This is the city where I stopped my last hike in January.

This episode I walked from monday to friday and covered a distance of about 100 km to a city called Bar-sur-Aube. On thursday I took a day off in Brienne-le-Château and used my time to visit a museum and study the life of Napoléon Bonaparte.

Last saturday I travelled back to Châlons-en-Champagne by train to get my car and then drove back to The Netherlands. Enjoy the route and the pictures I made of this trip.

Blessings!
